Geolyse attended the Careers Expo hosted by Dubbo College Senior Campus last week. The Expo was attended by almost 400 ‘professionals of the future’ from years 10 – 12 from government and non-government schools from across the Western Region.
Geolyse specifically promoted a career in surveying as recent studies have shown a supply shortage of Surveyors in Australia. Geolyse engaged ‘Try Surveying – A Life Without Limits’ who provided relevant information of how to start and progress a career as a surveyor. Information provided to students attending the Expo included details on study options and Tafe and degree qualifications required.
Geolyse’s General Manger Greg Cooper noted “The students have been well prepared for today and asked some good questions about future employment opportunities”.
Representatives from local businesses, TAFE, emergency services, apprenticeship centres and employment agencies were also invited to part take.
Geolyse is proud to employ over 50 staff in our Orange and Dubbo offices providing opportunities for apprenticeship and traineeships as well a progressive intern program.
