Civil Drafter - Oran Park

Civil Drafter – Oran Park

As part of the booming Macarthur Region, Geolyse is experiencing rapid growth in our Oran Park office, we are currently looking for an experienced Civil Drafter to meet our client demand.

If you are professional, organised with excellent communication skills and the relevant qualifications in Civil Drafting and would like to be part of a great team, you may be just the person we are looking for.

Essential Criteria

Working knowledge of complex engineering software and general computer systems (eg. AutoCad and CivilCad).

Ability to:

  • take directions and assist the drafting team to deliver quality outcomes; and
  • produce digital/drawing a full range of engineering plans from set up to completion.
  • Excellent:

  • time management and organisational skills to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines; and
  • technical aptitude and ability to grasp complex civil engineering concepts.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a civil drafting office.

    Essential Qualifications

    Cert III in drafting/computer aided design/engineering or equivalent.

    Attributes

    Excellent organisational and communication skills.
    Keen eye for detail.
    Willingness to learn.
    Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

    Accountabilities

    Prepare 2D digital designs and detailed plans associated with Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Surveying, Town Planning, or Architectural projects undertaken by the company.
    Oversee the production of digital designs and/or plans if required.
    Provide guidance, assistance and training to staff in the application and/or use of various computer software packages and drafting systems and procedures.
    Provide assistance, as appropriate, for other projects being undertaken by Geolyse.
    Comply with WHS requirements and Geolyse’s General Policies.

    Senior Administration Officer | Office Manager - Dubbo

    Senior Administration Officer | Office Manager – Dubbo

    We are urgently looking for an experienced Senior Administration Officer | Office Manager for our Dubbo Office.

    If you are professional and well organised with excellent communication skills and would like to be part of a great local and regional team, you may be just the person we are looking for.

    The successful applicant will be committed to providing senior level administration support to our professional employees, undertaking general finance, secretarial, staff management, clerical and reception duties. Previous administration experience in a professional services office is essential and knowledge of Quality Assurance is desirable.

    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

    The Senior Administration Officer | Office Manager position is to direct, control and co ordinate the activities of a range of diverse administrative and operational functions, including preparation of bid/tender proposals, human resources, WHS, information technology and marketing in order to ensure organisational effectiveness, efficiency and safety, in addition to providing administrative support and co-ordination to senior members within the Dubbo office. All activities conducted by the Senior Administration Officer | Office Manager are to be in-line with company policies, goals, and objectives established by the Board of Directors.

    Essential Criteria:

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion and exercise sound judgement in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Highly literate with a sound knowledge of English grammar.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.
  • Confident and clear communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to work in a team environment, prioritise tasks and work to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and under instruction of Project Managers.
  • Previous experience working in a professional services firm.
  • Accountabilities:

  • Provide a high level of confidential and timely support to Project Managers.
  • General Administration and support when required including filing, photocopying, scanning, process mail/banking, stationery orders, catering, travel/accommodation bookings, company vehicle services, organisation of appointments.
  • Provide a high level of Microsoft Office support to staff including word, excel, outlook etc.
  • Arrange key meetings, prepare reports for the Management Team and help ensure follow up items are completed in a timely manner.
  • Provide clear directions and instructions to other staff.
  • Understanding of the bid and tender proposals process.
  • Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to corporate vision, mission and values.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Facilities management; liaising with suppliers, managing office consumables, maintenance of a safe workplace.
  • Assist with ad-hoc HR functions such as staff inductions and delivery of training.
  • Assist with marketing and coordination of events.
  • Comply with WHS requirements and Geolyse’s General Policies.
